Question 1

What is the Veiled Frequency Player?

Accepted Answer

Veiled Frequency is a browser mystery experience. Explore playable archive rooms, inspect clues, and solve story puzzles. The North Shelf preview is the free public starting point; released member episodes are separate experiences in the episode library.

Question 2

Can I play the North Shelf preview without an account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The North Shelf archive preview is playable on the public home page in your browser, with no account or payment required. You can inspect the room clues and solve its signal puzzle. Preview play is separate from the released Opening Episode in the member library.

Question 3

What is the Opening Episode, and who can play it?

Accepted Answer

The Opening Episode is a separate episode, released in the member library. Sign in and have an active membership confirmed by Stripe to open released episodes. Playing the free North Shelf preview does not unlock the Opening Episode.

Question 4

Which content is playable, released, or still planned?

Accepted Answer

The North Shelf room is the free public playable preview. The Opening Episode is released member content. Future episodes are planned, but they have no set release dates. Private drafts and unreleased concepts are not in the released episode library and are not playable released episodes.

Question 5

Does concept footage count as an episode I can play?

Accepted Answer

No. Concept footage on the home page is watch-only material, not episode gameplay. It does not change which rooms or episodes are playable. Use the public North Shelf preview for free gameplay, or the member library for content marked Released.

Question 6

How do cooperative circles and invitations work?

Accepted Answer

A host with an active membership can create a circle and issue up to three companion invitations. The host shares a private link for a seat; the invited person signs in or creates an account, then accepts the invitation. The host must have an active membership when an invitation is created and accepted. Each account can belong to one circle at a time. Each invitation link expires after seven days. Refreshing an unaccepted link invalidates the previous link for that seat.

Question 7

What can circle members share with one another?

Accepted Answer

Current circle members can add written discoveries, reply to shared evidence, and see the same saved progress on released episode puzzles. The free North Shelf preview stays separate from circle progress. Personal observations remain visible only to the person who wrote them. The current board supports text notes and replies, not file attachments. The host needs an active membership to create invitations, but each account needs its own active membership to access released episodes and shared circle progress.

Question 8

What does membership cost, and how do I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Membership is $19.99 USD each month until canceled. Access to released episodes is available only while Stripe reports an active membership. To cancel, open your profile and use its billing portal. The exact access end timing follows the membership status Stripe reports.
